Here is a project from Anthony Beardsley a Nottingham boy born and bred.

He sees it as a possible city or even shire replacement flag.

He says:

It is a St Georges Cross to depict its affiliation with England superimposed on a broader yellow cross and green background. Similar in design to Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire. I have chosen the colours green and yellow because they are the county colours.

Personally I am not too wild about another cross but I like the fact that Anthony is using history as the driving factor behind his design.
